Our most experienced fully qualified coach. Has been coaching almost as long as the club has been in existence.... (better check!).

Currently competition secretary on the voluntary committee.

At one time or another has held most of the posts on that committee. very dedicated - goes to the majority of competitions that WFDC enter. Not only coaches but can judge and record too.

I am Simon Abbott, and I am married and have three kids. I have been a resident of Waltham Forest all my life and use to you used to the pool as a child, standing up on the 5 m plucking the courage to jump off or not. I had been coaching since September 2008. I got involved because I would sit and watch two of my children dive, Bill approached me about coaching so I thought I'm then most sessions and agreed. I now don't get to see my own kids dive because I am so busy coaching. I am only there when I am off shift I work in the printer trade doing 12 hour days one week on and one week off. So I coach on my week off that's why I am not here every Tuesday and Thursday. I also helped at dryland when I'm not at work. My main hobby is old cars. I have two 1950s American cars. Something I no longer get much of a chance to do is to play golf but when I do I play off the handicap of 12. I have enjoyed getting a bit more involved in the diving to help the club.
